We tell stories
that matter.
Peri is a new media company headquartered in Brazil, with a presence not only in its home country but also in the United States and Europe.
We collaborate with some of the most innovative voices from around the globe, particularly the majority world, to weave narratives that resonate. Our focus is on shedding light on pivotal issues like racial and gender discrimination, the perils of disinformation, socio-economic inequality, and the climate crisis — all through a mainstream lens.
Whether you're an artist with a meaningful story to share, a non-profit seeking to connect with a broad audience and convey a vital message, a foundation eager to transform those reports your grantees submitted into impactful cultural artifacts or a media platform on the lookout for a transformative partner, we're here for you. Perhaps you don't fall into any of these categories — that's perfectly fine too. If you have a passion for both pop culture and social change, we'd love to be friends with you!
We collaborate with forward-thinking organizations in a global movement for impactful storytelling.
Our projects are currently being developed with the support of or in partnership with the following wonderful companies and nonprofits:
We engage with stories that possess the potential to resonate with broad, mainstream audiences, all the while curating them through the lens of an impact-first framework.
Peri Productions
Our production unit develops and produces films, series, soaps and docs that move large audiences on key issues.
Peri Labs
At Peri Labs, we leverage an experienced network of partners to conduct cutting-edge research and identify the messages that can change pervasive narratives around key issues. Then we work to integrate these messages into compelling stories that can touch and move large audiences, and share what we learned with industry leaders, storytellers, and executives.
Peri Incubations
Our incubation unit explores innovative business models within the media space, pioneers new funding structures, tests novel distribution strategies, and crafts exclusive content for direct audience distribution.
Peri undertakes both for-profit and not-for-profit projects, the latter through its charity arm, Instituto Peri.
Our focus revolves around what encompasses us all: the mental models and cultural references that mold our beliefs and value systems.
Our name comes from the Greek prefix “peri”, meaning “around, about, enclosing”. In the Tupi-guarani language family, “peri” means “warrior”.
We amplify voices from the peripheries of conventional show business. We're not positioned at the center; our strength emanates from the margins. We embrace the power of myth, both ancient and contemporary, because myths aid us in deciphering elusive truths about life on Earth. They connect us to a sense of purpose, provide meaning to the battles we face, and define many of our moral imperatives.
